My name is Kailey Darr and I am the owner of North River Siberians. I am a small town breeder nestled in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. My love for the Siberian Husky began long before my kennel ever had a name. Like many people, I first fell in love with the breed’s beauty, independence, and spirit. We have been involved with Siberian huskies since 2016 but it was 2018, I welcomed my first well-bred Siberians. That was the start of everything my introduction to the world of conformation, ethical breeding, and what it truly means to be a steward of this breed.

Since then, I’ve learned so much along the way from the importance of health testing and structure, to the responsibility of preserving working ability and protecting genetic diversity. Each step in this journey has shaped not only my program but also my deep respect for the Siberian Husky as a whole. 

Every litter at North River is thoughtfully planned with long-term goals in mind. My focus is on producing puppies that are healthy, sound in structure, fluid in movement, and stable in temperament, while still maintaining the natural drive and spirit that makes a Siberian a Siberian. My dogs are more than pedigrees or ribbons. At home, they are family running around in the yard or curled up at our sides after a long day. That balance of beauty, function, and companionship is what makes the breed so special, and it’s what I strive to protect in every generation. 

Looking ahead, North River Siberians is a guided by a long-term vision: to honor the breed’s history, safeguard its future, and ensure that generations to come can experience the same spirited, joyful Siberian Huskies that first captured my heart.
